Platinum is the rarest and most precious metal is found to have medicinal value for the recent research. It is found to cure the testicular and ovarian cancer. The chemotherapy that is administered to treat the cancer patients is containing the drugs where platinum is a component. Platinum based drugs like carboplatin and cisplatin are widely available in the market to treat the lung, neck, ovarian cancer. RNA and the DNA of the cancer cells are attacked and destroyed by the drugs containing the platinum. Nowadays it is also used in the ornaments.
